Accountability:

As a Senior Safety, Quality, and Environment Engineer, you’ll be accountable for:

  • Ensuring the quality of products and documentation delivered to both internal and external customers.
  • Highlighting potential issues promptly.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety requirements and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Upholding quality standards and completing all necessary documentation.
  • Meeting performance targets and deadlines, addressing potential issues, and supporting changing priorities.
  • Working in line with department KPIs to minimize waste and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Advising and guiding employees on QHSE matters.

Key Aspects:

  • Maintaining knowledge of UK HSE legislation and industry standards.
  • Supporting change initiatives related to QHSE.
  • Developing and delivering QHSE training programs.
  • Conducting internal audits and inspections.
  • Investigating incidents and contributing to preventive measures.
  • Coordinating activities within the Quality Control and Test areas.
  • Liaising with suppliers on quality issues.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate with 2-3 years of H&S experience.
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements such as COSHH, REACH, HAV, Fire Safety, and Health & Safety.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Lead Auditor qualification/experience with ISO Certification.
