Bid Manager - Data storage buildings/Construction

**Location - London

Role Overview:

As a Bid Manager, you will be instrumental in driving and energising our bid team to achieve successful outcomes for allocated tenders. You will ensure adherence to designated processes and best practices within our organisation, aiming for strategic and commercially viable bids.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement coherent bid strategies in collaboration with the Business Development Manager and Sector Director.
- Continually evaluate winning strategies, directing team efforts towards activities that enhance bid success.
- Oversee and contribute to tender commercial strategies.
- Coordinate internal meetings such as kick-off and settlement meetings, utilising MS Outlook for efficient scheduling.
- Agree on bid budgets and monitor expenditure in alignment with the Head of Management.
- Manage the tender programme and ensure compliance with company and group governance and procedures.
- Communicate with key stakeholders, including clients, employers’ agents, joint venture partners, and supply chain partners.
- Lead the review of suppliers and manage risk/opportunity, including commercial aspects.

Additional Duties:

- Act as a deputy for the Head of Bid Management as required.
- Undertake other duties consistent with your status and seniority to meet the business needs.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

- Sound knowledge of the UK construction market and relevant legislation.
- Understanding of civil engineering principles.
- Commercial awareness of different contract forms.
- Strong presentation and client communication skills.
- Familiarity with HOCHTIEF governance and procedural requirements for work winning.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Previous experience in bid management within the construction industry.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management or related field.
