Job Title: Business Analyst (Finance)
Location: Llandudno – Hybrid

Role Overview:

As a Business Analyst within the finance team, you’ll play a critical role in supporting key stakeholders by enhancing sales analysis, improving financial reporting accuracy, and driving commercial decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic business performance by developing financial models, providing actionable insights, and streamlining reporting processes.

You’ll be at the heart of the business, ensuring that senior leaders have the data they need to optimise performance. In this role, you’ll work across various departments, including finance, sales, and operations, to create impactful analysis and support key business decisions. The position will also focus on improving reporting efficiencies through automation and data tool integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain weekly sales reports and KPI dashboards for senior leadership.
• Support in the analysis of sales performance, identifying key trends to drive business decisions.
• Provide valuable, data-driven insights to improve regional business performance.
• Assist in the creation of financial models to evaluate new store appraisals, sales targets, and bonus structures.
• Help to design and automate reporting tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with senior analysts to implement financial models and streamline data analysis processes.
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve reporting systems and reduce inefficiencies.
• Deliver actionable insights to support decision-making across commercial and sales teams.
• Work cross-functionally with teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and data interpretation.
• Contribute to business cases for new initiatives, assessing their financial impact.
• Ensure data accuracy, validation, and reconciliation for consistent reporting quality.
• Utilise advanced Excel functions and Power Query to manipulate and analyse large datasets.
• Keep up-to-date with systems and reporting tools, constantly improving data accessibility.

• A proactive, problem-solving approach, with a desire to improve processes and seek innovative solutions.

• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
