Rates: £27.70 PAYE or £36.93 Umbrella

Location: Lillie Bridge Depot, West London

35 Hours per week. 

Job Purpose:

To manufacture and install timber finished goods of the right quality, quantity and by the customers required delivery dates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make, modify or repair timber components.

• Install manufactured timber items on site as required.

• Use and/or operate a range of hand, power and machine tools within one trade or discipline, e.g. Hand and power saws, drills, planers, routers.

• Drive Workshops vehicles to and from outlying work sites as may be required.

• Assist other staff in the production for work as required.

• Complete all paperwork and reports as required.

• Ensure that the work area and all plant and equipment are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition.

• Lay out for drilling and cutting.

• Identify different types of materials used, specify their uses and limitations.

• Machine woods and other materials using appropriate wood mill machinery.

• Assemble wooden/other materials components both in the shop and on site using appropriate fixing method to specification.

• To manufacture woodworking joints to specification.

Requirements:

 Served an appropriate apprenticeship and/or have the technical knowledge and relevant production skills to operate a range of hand, power and machine tools to manufacture items to a high standard from drawings or specifications.
