ELECTRICAL ENGINEER CONTROL & INSTRUMENTATION – CONTRACT 12 MONTHS – BARROW IN FURNESS Cumbria
2 to 4 Days on site in Barrow
You will be working on the delivery and Integration of complex control systems and equipment. Activities will include supporting design, development, integration, testing and managing all delivery aspects.
AT THE COAL FACE / DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understanding our customers’ challenging needs and developing, validating and managing requirements.
- Engineering aspects relating to the supply and delivery of a complex control system.
- Integrating systems containing electronic, mechanical and software sub-systems, through execution of the IV&V strategy.
- Responsible for executing testing and operating test systems working with modelling and simulation capabilities.
- Determining C&I requirements by applying your knowledge in this area.
- Compile equipment specification and analysis, Part and BOM creation.
- Develop testing knowledge to become a SQEP user and main point of contact for executing testing in accordance with the test programme.
- Compilation of technical system documentation supporting design, delivery, Integration validation and verification, test, qualification and manufacturing.
- Integrating systems containing electronic, mechanical and software sub-systems, understanding the potential impact on the whole boat and interfacing systems
- Producing, reviewing and supporting the production of design evidence as required.
- Manage supplier interface for communications and documentation creation, retention and storage.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- A solid understanding of C&I systems design and demonstrable career and proven ability with these systems.
- Knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle with ability to apply good systems engineering practices to your work.
DESIRABLES
Awareness of Defence Standards and Industry standards for example IEC 61508 / 61511, ARP 4754, DO-178C / DO-254
