Charity & community
Charity and community
Our business is defined, not by what we gain, but by what we give back
Formed in 2007, our charity committee continues to lead our fundraising efforts as we pledge our support each year to multiple worthy causes. Each year our employees vote to select two charitable organisations to raise vital funds for. The nomination of a charity often stems from the personal experience of an employee and Morson is proud to support and promote awareness of worthwhile causes in our region.
Our 2023 employee-chosen charities are British Heart Foundation and Brain Tumour Research. In the last 10 years, we’ve raised over £2million for worthy causes throughout the UK such as Salford University, the Seashell Trust, Destination Florida and Alzheimer’s Society.
The care for our community goes beyond financial donations and instead permeates every aspect of our business with ambassador, sports and support programmes.

Ambassadors
Inspiring individuals
From athletes to army veterans, our Ambassadors programme partners with inspiring individuals who can motivate and educate our clients, candidates and employees by bringing new perspectives and positive influences. From different backgrounds with varied life experiences, they all share the same drive and determination, which is why they are part of the Morson family. Each share the same drive, determination, optimism and integrity that make excellent role models.
Forces Ambassador: Andy Reid MBE
Corporal Andy Reid lost both his legs and right arm after stepping on an IED plate whilst serving with the 3rd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment in Afghanistan in 2009. In 2019, Andy was awarded an MBE for voluntary services to veterans and to people with disabilities.
Andy was chosen as a Morson Ambassador as his determination and optimism means that he is a role model, not only for the forces but for the wider community.
The partnership between Morson and Andy aims to get more ex-forces personnel into employment by using his knowledge of the forces community in conjunction with Morson’s recruitment expertise.
