Morson are working with one of the world leading aerospace manufacturers with a Supply Chain and Logistics Engineer position based at RAF Brize Norton.

Hourly Rate:

  • £19.75/hour PAYE
  • £26.13/hour Umbrella

Working Arrangement: Hybrid (60% onsite)

Location: RAF Brize Norton

Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and proactive Supply Chain and Logistics Engineer to join our team, reporting directly to the Supply Chain & Governance Coordinator and the Head of Operational Excellence and Business Management. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a dynamic environment that values a positive mindset and attitude. With mentorship and development opportunities, you’ll thrive in a key role managing procurement, governance, and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage Requests for Quotes (RFQs), ensuring compliance with relevant HMG codes and purchasing policies.
  • Handle procurement tasks, including preparing orders for consumables, expendables, and other goods.
  • Convert internal purchasing requirements into purchase requisitions and orders using SAP and MySupply.
  • Monitor and post Goods Receipts for services and non-consumable items, ensuring timely invoice payments.
  • Create and maintain user profiles for uniform/PPE requests.
  • Generate procurement KPIs and reports, and manage internal records for purchase requisitions and orders.
  • Collaborate daily with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Support the management of supplier performance, focusing on quality and timely delivery.
  • Assist in budgetary control and quarterly procurement planning.
  • Optimize stock levels and release consumable orders based on analysis of demand and lead times.
  • Support procurement procedures updates and lead weekly orderbook meetings with suppliers.

Essential Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience using MySupply.
