Senior Planner

  • Duration: 12 months
  • Rate: £550 - £600 p/d (inside IR35)
  • Location: Glasgow, Scotland
  • Hybrid working: 3 days based in Glasgow

Our client are an engineering and design consultancy that specialise in projects within the defence sector.

They currently require a Senior Planner to integrate into their client’s organisation and support with the delivery of multiple major programmes of works.

As part of their programme and project delivery team the projects include new build facilities and refurbishment of the existing estate to support current and future operations. The packages of works may include civils, structural, M&E, etc, with established projects teams.

Job description:

  • Collate data from multiple sources to integration into required P6 Resource loaded schedules.
  • Extensive KSH engagement over cross-organisational boundaries
  • Develop and manage individual Site Directorâ??s Primavera P6 plans as required
  • Analyse, challenge and report discrepancies, risks, issues and opportunities within the integrated plans to ensure timely mitigation and VFM solutions
  • Develop and manage a monthly DHI level CSI integrated infra plan to provide an overall strategic CSI picture
  • Demonstrate cause and effect and run mitigation scenarios as required
  • Work with NC, Project Managers and the Client to ensure one version of the truth which is robust and realistic.
  • Engage with Engineering and Compliance groups and be able to identify their tasks and how they interact.
  • Communicate effectively across the whole Community.
  • Compile monthly reports on progress, change, cause and effect and mitigation measures for CSI Steering Board, and the Client
  • Submit Infra integrated plan into the strategic plan on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and robustness.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Available to work in Glasgow or onsite (within an hour of Glasgow) 3 days week.
  • Must have experience of producing P6 schedules and associated documentation including good understanding of risk, change management and stakeholder management.
  • SC Clearance, Primavera P6 practitioner, MS Office proficiency.
  • Experience within Nuclear/Defence/Highly regulated industry

Desired:

  • DV Clearance, NEC3/4 experience, project management qualifications, risk management.
  • Working within an operational environment, working in a secure environment, construction/implementation experience.
