Composite Support Worker

Morson Talent are working closely with GKN in the Isle of White to recruit some Composite Operators on a 6 month contract basis.

• Contract Length: An inital 6 month contract, expected to be on-going
• Shifts: Inital training period on days, with the potential of moving onto double days shift (alternating weeks of 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm)
• Rate: Day shift £12.82+ 25% uplift for double days
• Hours: Day Shift is usually 08.00 to 16.30 Mon – Thurs and 07.45 to 12.45 Fridays although these hours may vary during training 

Applicants are invited to apply for a number of temporary vacancies within our Composite facility; this includes the lay-up of composite components based at our East Cowes sites.

Previous composite experience is desired, however, full training will be provided to ensure all operators work to rigorous procedures. Working to high customer, quality and regulatory standards, you will be required to work in a clean area environment on monolithic and/or honeycomb assemblies.

This role will involve bending, stretching and the manual handling of a wide variety of different size composite moulds. Furthermore, you will be expected to work in a structured “hands-on” manufacturing environment, using job cards/process sheets.

Comfortable to work alone or as part of a team, you should be self-motivated, flexible and have good communication skills. You should also be happy to take responsibility for the quality of your work. You will need to be willing to work shift patterns and overtime if/when required.
