We have a fantastic opportunity for a Planning Engineer to join our leading defence client based at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire. This is a unique opportunity working for a hybrid organisation working directly with the Aircrafts IT and the customer on an amazing facility.
Our contract with the MOD states we will provide a continuous service to cover on a 24 hours, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to the Royal Air Force, to maintain and ensure airworthiness of their fleet of aircraft.
Our services include both direct and indirect functions which all work together to provide the airworthiness total service – including maintenance planners licensed line maintenance engineers technical services including structures and systems specialists facilities management security and health and safety etc.
Responsibilities
• Providing the Maintenance Plan of the RAF A400M fleet, identifying the maintenance task requirements and ensuring all tasks are packaged into work packs for execution by all internal or external base maintenance organisations.
• Input maintenance plan, equipment, terminals, manuals, specifications overhaul plan and Logistic parameters.
• Mission is to support product / equipment post-delivery by providing repair, modification and organized retrofit services customers with respect required standards (e.g. airworthiness) and maintenance costs.
• Scheduling Aircraft configuration changes and major role changes.
• Forecasting the availability of each Aircraft, including Aircraft capability.
• Making tail-to-Task recommendations, providing the ATLAS Flying Programme to the Fleet Tasking Availability Management Coordinator, taking into account the FHQ (Flight headquarters) requirements and ensuring the correct Aircraft capability and remaining potential.
• Managing the Schedule Maintenance Programme and the Flying Programme to mitigate for AOG´s, unserviceability, changes to task and priorities, delays, defects, etc…
• Creating and maintaining the Integrated through Life Plan (ITLP) to increase the fleet availability and manage the fleet utilisation.
• Entering and maintaining A400M planning data in the customers Ground Computer Information System (GCIS).
• Supporting and contributing to any continuous improvement programme.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the airline industry
