Morson Talent currently have an exciting new position for a Material Requirements Planner (MRP Controller) to join our prestigious Aerospace client based in Yeovil. This role is a contract for 6 months, with possibility of extension.
Provide the business with a professional level of knowledge, skill, and expertise to maintain a world class scheduling system to ensure business objectives are met by your Department. Working in partnership with major stakeholders both within and external to the business, you will deploy your specialist MRP/Provisioning knowledge in challenging, validating and applying judgement in the most cost effective manner in order to manipulate SAP and/or Optimiza planning data in the most efficient manner for optimising the range of products and services.
There is a requirement for a potential candidate to be able to provide more flexibility with start and end times. This is derived from a new plant in Canada and the 4 hrs time difference.
Example start time 11am- 18:30pm
Skills that you MUST have:
- A minimum of 3 years experience using SAP within a Material Planning role,
- A minimum of 3 year’s experience within a material supply or manufacturing environment,
- Background in an Aerospace or high intergrity manufacturing environment,
- Complete understanding of how to work to and report budgetary controls,
- Computer literate – Company IT systems relevant to Department,
- Educated to HNC level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline or demonstrated equivalent competency obtained through experience,
- Good communicator with influencing skills (internal and external) and ability to work across functional boundaries,
- High level customer focus and the ability to anticipate customer needs,
- Integrity and professional approach, with credibility at all levels (internal and external),
- Knowledge of Company Quality systems,
- Proven ability to priorities/manage tasks under pressure to ensure that the required service level is maintained,
- Proven evidence in planning and delivering projects within deadlines.
Skills that are ADVANTEGOUS:
- Good working knowledge of the Optimiza repair module,
- Sound understanding of the inputs and configuration of Optimiza,
- Working knowledge of Leonardo systems and company standard software.
- Working knowledge of MoD systems.
