Avionic Supervisor – RAF Leeming

Location: RAF Leeming
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £39,000
Shift Pattern: 3 days on, 4 days off

Morson Talent is hiring an Avionic Supervisor to oversee and support maintenance operations at RAF Leeming. This role involves leading a team of technicians, ensuring airworthiness, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Supervise and perform maintenance, inspection, and fault resolution on aircraft and components
✔ Ensure maintenance is completed to schedule and in line with technical documentation
✔ Manage and develop a team, providing training, leadership, and performance oversight
✔ Monitor progress against delivery targets and report on any potential issues
✔ Maintain and oversee compliance with Part 145 regulations, ensuring all personnel are qualified and authorised
✔ Support the Flight Line Mechanics in delivering aircraft to meet the flying program
✔ Ensure all documentation and records are completed accurately and maintained

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of experience, including relevant aircraft type experience
  • Fully competent with all required authorisations in place
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
  • Understanding of Part 145 regulations and Continuing Airworthiness frameworks
  • IT literate with experience using maintenance systems

Desirable Skills:

  • Hawk Composite Flight Servicing – Pass
  • Trade ‘Q’ Course – Pass
  • Leadership Foundation Training
  • Human Factors & ITAR Awareness Training

Working Hours:

Shift Pattern: 3 days on, 4 days off
