General Operative

We are currently seeking a General Operative to join our team. In this role, youll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of our depot operations, from managing stock levels to operating mobile plant equipment. Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to safety requirements
Ensure lorries are loaded accurately, using a truck planning system.
Keep the site clean and organized with general housekeeping tasks.
Monitor and maintain stock levels to meet customer demands.
Operate mobile plant equipment, particularly the Linde H70 Forklift, and perform daily maintenance and fault reporting.
Work trackside to discharge rail wagon tanks into depot silos using Capstan and rope.
Use IT systems for record-keeping, communication, and event logging.
Conduct regular stock takes (daily and monthly) and manage stock efficiently.
Be flexible and take on various tasks to meet the day-to-day challenges of the depot.
Learn to operate additional plant equipment, including bulk loading systems.
Communicate effectively via email and verbally to ensure business standards are met.
Perform general material handling, housekeeping, and painting tasks as part of the broader depot operation.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Flexibility to take on various tasks and adapt to changing demands.
