Are you an experienced Chartered Landscape Architect with a passion for landscape planning? This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of landscape architects, urban designers, environmental planners, ecologists, and arboriculturists in a senior role.

The position is ideal for a Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI) with recognised expertise in landscape planning and an interest in taking on a leadership role. There is also potential for those looking to develop expert witness skills. This role offers clear opportunities for early advancement and leadership within the team. Due to a large influx of work, they are considering candidates in Bedford, London and Woodbridge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the delivery of robust, context-driven, and sustainable landscape planning projects.
  • Provide expertise on landscape planning, including feasibility appraisals, landscape character assessments, LVIA, EIA, strategic capacity studies, and green infrastructure strategies.
  • Collaborate with external and in-house teams, as well as manage client relationships effectively.
  • Support the development of the business through client engagement and leadership.
  • Current Portolio: The team works on projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, renewable energy, public realm, education, recreation, urban greening, care, and hospitality. Projects range from feasibility studies to planning applications, appeals, and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or on their way to chartership.
  • Strong expertise in landscape planning and excellent written and analytical skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the UK planning system.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support collaboration and leadership.
  • Proven client management and business development capabilities.
  • A sound understanding of project stages and the iterative design process.
  • A valid UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
  • Additional Information:

Open to full-time or part-time applications (minimum three days per week).
The position can be based in any of the practice’s offices.
