Project Manager - Water

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum plus package (negotiable subject to experience)
Location: Cookstown
Type: Full Time – Permanent & Hybrid

Experienced Project Manager needed for a Tier 2 design and build contractor to oversee delivery of projects (infrastructure and utilities) ensuring smooth operation and delivery.
You will be a key member of the team in ensuring project deliverability liaising with the Planning and Commercial teams. This hybrid role offers a good work-life balance, and you will have the opportunity to work onsite/office and home.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring seamless operations, timely delivery, and adherence to budget constraints while exceeding program expectations.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project schedules and work breakdown structures, enabling precise progress tracking, performance monitoring, and proactive corrective actions.
• Enforce compliance with statutory, regulatory, and organizational Health & Safety requirements, ensuring strict adherence to HSE plans and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and best practices in waste management, integrating sustainability into project execution.
• Drive innovation and value engineering initiatives during the design phase to optimize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and project quality.
• Manage scope changes by adhering to contract protocols, including issuing early warnings and compensation event notices as required.
• Oversee financial planning at the site level, ensuring robust budget control and commercial performance optimization.
• Take full accountability for project lifecycle management, from initiation through to successful completion and handover.

What we require from you?
• Degree qualified or equivalent in a Construction-related discipline (completed or in progress).
• Chartered status or working towards (preferred)
• Proven experience dealing with a variety of forms of construction
• Valid SMSTS and CSCS Card.
• NEC 3 knowledge and experience
• Proven experience in managing design and build project execution within the water sector.
• Experience in overseeing multiple construction sites in a similar role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid UK drivers license.
