M&E Estimator

M&E Estimator (Mechanical Bias) required for a sub-contractor client of ours in South East London. 

Our client are seeking an experienced M&E Estimator with a mechanical bias and a strong background in working on electrical tenders to join the team. The M&E Estimator would have the exciting opportunity to join during a period of sustained growth, with more tenders and reputable new and existing business to follow. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for both mechanical and electrical projects.
  • Analyse project drawings, specifications, and client requirements to deliver detailed cost estimates.
  • Manage the tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Work closely with the project and commercial teams to ensure tenders align with the company’s objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, materials, and labour costs.
  • Attend site visits, pre-tender, and post-tender meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Mechanical bias with experience in electrical tendering is essential.
  • Proven track record as an M&E Estimator, ideally with 5+ years’ experience.
  • Strong understanding of M&E services and installation techniques.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
