CDM Principal Designer

I currently have the pleasure of working with an award-winning, design-led Architectural practice who are looking for a Principal Designer (CDM) to join their team in central Leeds. You will be working closely with the Principal Designer Lead, overseeing CDM compliance across multiple sectors and ensuring the highest safety and design standards. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively to deliver successful outcomes for both clients and the business.
• Provide expert CDM guidance during project reviews, coordination workshops, and site inspections.
• Plan, manage, and monitor the pre-construction phase, ensuring full CDM compliance.
• Engage with engineers, contractors, and project teams to optimize safety and efficiency.
• Stay ahead of industry advancements, continuously improving CDM processes.

What We’re Looking For:

• Architect or Technologist with CDM experience.
• APS accreditation (desirable).
• 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit.
• In-depth understanding of CDM regulations, construction materials, and building systems.
• A proven track record of successfully delivering projects from start to finish.
• CSCS card holder (desirable).
