Hours: Week 1 Monday to Friday 07:45 to 16:30 (16:15 finish on Friday) Week 2 Monday to Thursday 07:45 to 16:30. Enjoy every other Friday off work

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team in Reading, Berkshire. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of mechanical systems within site facilities.

Job Duties:

  • Ensure all Planned Preventative and Reactive Mechanical Maintenance is completed to schedule ensuring that appropriate documentation is completed and submitted in a timely fashion
  • Perform rectification of defects, ensuring all safety and performance standards are met in accordance with the contract
  • Carry out routine maintenance work associated with all mechanical systems
  • Supervise specialist contractors and ensure all certification/ documentation is completed in accordance with client and company requirements
  • Liaise with and respond to the Helpdesk ensuring that urgent maintenance tasks are responded to within appropriate timescales
    Required Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Knowledge and Skills:

  • This position requires ONC/OND, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Mechanical discipline.
  • Proven experience within a building services environment.
  • Articulate, numerate and IT literate.
  • The ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety and operational performance.
  • Have good decision making and communication skills.
  • Be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers and customers at all levels.
