We are seeking a skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading groundworks subcontractor specializing in groundworks for house building. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to be part of a dynamic team, with excellent career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and valuations for groundworks, plot works, remediation, and bulk earthworks.
Monitor and control project costs, ensuring value for money and identifying any cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate closely with the project and site teams to ensure accurate measurement and valuation of work on-site.
Manage subcontractor payments and variations, providing accurate forecasting and financial reporting.
Support the project team in remediation and bulk earthworks, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Requirements:
Previous experience within groundworks.
Knowledge of plot works, remediation, and bulk earthworks.
Strong financial acumen and understanding of cost control and management processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
