Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Schedule: Monday to Friday

A client is seeking two experienced Quantity Surveyors with a house-building background to join their team in Wakefield. This role is crucial to ensuring the financial success of residential construction projects, working across all project stages—from pre-construction to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
✔ Cost Estimation – Assess project drawings/specifications to calculate material, labour, and equipment costs.
✔ Budget Management – Track and manage project budgets to ensure financial accuracy.
✔ Procurement – Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
✔ Contract Administration – Assist with contracts, assess variations/claims, and ensure compliance.
✔ Value Engineering – Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
✔ Risk Management – Monitor and mitigate financial and operational risks.
✔ Cost Control – Implement measures to track and optimise spending.
✔ Final Account Settlement – Ensure payments and accounts are finalised upon project completion.

Essential Requirements:
Proven track record in house-building quantity surveying.
Minimum 5 years of quantity surveying experience.
A valid CSCS Card.
A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
A UK driving licence.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with site teams, suppliers, and clients.
