SAP Data Analyst - INSIDE IR35
Duration: 6 months (initial)
Location: Capenhurst or Stoke Poges (Hybrid 1 day a week on site)

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst with expertise in SAP to join a recently established Data & Analytics team. You will extract valuable insights from the organisation wide data assets. You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting complex data sets to support data-driven decision-making across the functions / departments within the business. Expertise in SAP (ECC, S4/HANA and ABAP), SAP Analytics (S4/HANA), data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualisation will be pivotal in driving strategic initiatives and optimising business performance.

Key Accountabilities:

Data collection and cleaning

  • Gather data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and integrity
  • Clean, validate, and transform raw data into a consistent format for analysis
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and identify how SAP data and analytics can enhance business processes

Data analysis and interpretation

  • Collaborate with SAP system analysts and D&A Data Engineer to integrate SAP solutions seamlessly into existing business processes
  • Apply statistical methods and data modeling techniques to extract actionable insights
  • Interpret and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

Reporting and visualisation

  • Interpret SAP reports to provide information as to the data construct within SAP
  • Generate relevant reports in SAP specific to different functional department requirements
  • Understanding of database / data warehouse usage and data security
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations in line with D&A toolset
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve decision-making processes

Data quality assurance

  • Develop and implement data quality checks and validation processes
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the organisation’s systems
  • Support D&A function with maturity of companywide data

Process improvement

  • Identify opportunities to optimise data collection, analysis, and reporting processes
  • Propose and implement automated solutions to streamline workflows and increase efficiency

Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrable experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in a business or technical environment
• Demonstrable experience in SAP, including SAP Data Analysis and Reporting
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and interpret complex data sets
• Strong understanding of SAP (ECC, S4/HANA and Fiori), including reporting and analytics
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL, Python, R, or other relevant tools
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud or similar platforms
• Knowledge of statistical concepts and experience applying statistical techniques (e.g., regression analysis, hypothesis testing).
• Solid understanding of database management systems, Microsoft SQL Server and data warehousing principles
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate results within deadlines
• Strong communication skills to convey complex findings in a clear and understandable manner
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
