Production Operative

As a Warehouse Operative you will be working in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring high quality Embroidery or Heat Seal application onto product in the most efficient way through the clients Clothing Centre and comply with clients policies and operational procedures throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heat seal machines and embroidery machines (both single and multi heads)
- Work to high quality standards in line with customer requirements
- Accuracy in terms of applying the correct logo, setting up and selecting appropriate threads, framing and position the logo in the required location on the garment.
- Update work activity on systems ensuring accuracy in the information being confirmed.
- Garment aftercare - ensure embroidery is trimmed / brushed and any commodity items removed and heat seal is fully applied and relevant packaging and tags remain with garment.
- Ensure maximum utilisation of machinery at all times.
- General housekeeping of work station and production area.
- Replenish threads and commodity items within work station.
- Ensure minimal wastage and damage of product and commodities.
- Work Safely & contribute to overall site Safety Awareness
- Apply adequate pressure and ensure accurate temperate is set to ensure correct affixing to fabric.

Knowledge & Experience:
- Basic IT skills
- Previous production experience
- An understanding of health and safety within the operation.
- Product knowledge including fabric type understanding
- Good level of literacy and numeracy
- Strong need to achieve departmental goals and look for continuous improvement
- Awareness of Barudan 4 head Machines & Wilcom Softwear

Work Arrangement

£12.21 p/hour

40 hours p/weel, Monday-Friday 08:00-16:30

28 days holiday inc Bank Holidays
