Morson Talent are recruiting for Reactor Cleaners for non-craft labouring work at Devonport dockyard in Plymouth.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake a wide range of tasks across site and will be prepared to undertake training to ensure they meet the requirements of the role.
Applicants will have an appetite to learn new skills and to be prepared to work shift work and overtime to support the business needs.
Requirements of the role:
A full clean driving licence
Counterbalance FLT licence is desirable, however a willingness to train is essential
Willingness to work at height and in confined spaces
MEWP operator or willingness to train
An understanding of the business is necessary, with a desirable understanding of process and procedures
Successful candidates must have a positive attitude towards conventional Health and Safety and be willing to challenge unsafe acts
Good communication & interpersonal skills
Be willing to present themselves clean shaven for a face fit test
Ability to work in a team
Willingness to work as a Nuclear Reactor cleaner and to work shift when required (not required for all roles)
Have a good Health and Safety and COSHH awareness
It would be beneficial, but not essential as training can be provided if applicants have the following:
Previous experience working in a marine environment
Knowledge of submarines and warships layouts
Willingness to undertake development training as identified in a competency framework
Ability to work in a changing environment
12 Month initial contract.
£16.44 per hour PAYE,
35 hours a week, shift and additional hours a possibility but not guaranteed.
