Mechanical Site Supervisor – Water Sector
Workign with a leading contractor to the UK water industry I am recruiting for a Mechanical Site Supervisor to be based within the Thames Region.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the M&E Manager/Lead Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and controlling all mechanical site activities efficiently, ensuring work is completed to specification, within contract timelines, and with a strong focus on health, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners, and visitors.
Ensure all relevant health, safety, and environmental documents are correctly recorded and reviewed, using the latest versions.
Carry out Mechanical Appointed Person duties.
Maintain QA/QC standards throughout the installation process.
Ensure all documentation adequately describes the work to be carried out.
Review and comment on Method Statements and Work Instructions as per the Project Execution Plan.
Supervise work to ensure compliance with Method Statements and Work Instructions.
Record work progress using record drawings or other suitable methods as required.
Identify and record non-conformance and improvement opportunities, agreeing on actions with the responsible person.
About You:
Knowledge & Experience:
Several years of experience working in the Water sector.
Strong understanding of pipework fabrication, pressure testing, welding, and erection.
Ability to identify quality welding and ensure pipelines meet required standards based on Isometric, GA, and P&ID drawings.
Education & Qualifications:
HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a strong apprenticeship in pipework and welding with relevant experience.
SSSTS Certification.
CSCS Card.
First Aid Qualification.
