Morson Talent are working alongside their client to recruit Control Panel/Hardware Design Engineers to join thier team based in either Stone Stafford, Reading AWE, Yorkshire or Cumbria

The role will involve designing hardware systems using proprietary hardware components for control panels, focusing on PLCs, MCCs, Drives & Controls, and Switchgear.

Duties include preparing, reviewing, and checking necessary calculations and designs, with occasional travel to customer sites for surveys and designing solutions.

They operate in highly regulated and challenging industrial environments, delivering critical projects across energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing sectors.

Skills:

Knowledge of designing electrical panels containing PLCs and LV distribution systems

Design of electrical cabling and containment systems

Educated to at least degree level in a relevant subject or HND with additional project implementation experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Office Word & Excel

Ability to achieve security clearance to at least SC level, possibly DV

Understanding of IEC BS EN 61439-1 and BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
