Summary:
As a Smart Meter Engineer, you will report to the Smart Metering Manager and collaborate with various teams across the client, including Network Control, Dispatch, Customer Services, IS, Asset Management, DSO, Connections, and Control Systems and Automation. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the smart metering system is functioning correctly and delivering its intended capabilities. You will manage the system to minimise customer minutes lost, provide accurate data to Customer Services, and support the integration of this data into reports and applications for all areas of UK Power Networks.
Your role involves identifying new use cases for smart metering data, developing these for stakeholders such as DSO, and tracking benefits from ideation to business as usual. You will also represent the client at industry forums and handle responses to consultations related to smart metering. Additionally, you will collaborate with IS Security to ensure compliance with the Smart Energy Code (SEC) obligations and support system upgrades and issue resolutions.

Certifications & Standards:
- Minimum of HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
