Location: Melksham Substation, Westlands Lane
Rate: £25 per hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Operative to join our team at Melksham Substation, Westlands Lane. The successful candidate will have a valid NG Persons certification and Dumper/Roller ticket, and will be responsible for assisting in the operation, maintenance, and general upkeep of the substation facility. Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain heavy machinery including dumpers and rollers on site.
Assist in the routine maintenance of substation equipment and infrastructure.
Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations while on site.
Work closely with engineers and other site personnel to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in general construction tasks as required.
Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any faults or issues to the supervisor.
Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
Support with the setup and preparation of the site, including organising tools and materials.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:

Valid NG Persons certification.
Dumper/Roller ticket (mandatory).
Previous experience working on substations or similar environments.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Good physical fitness and ability to carry out manual tasks.
Rate of Pay:

£25 per hour.
