WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE/FLT DRIVER – AFTERNOON SHIFT

Location: Kettering
Pay rate: £14.40/hr (equivalent to £30,000/annum) + Shift Allowance
Type of role: contract (with an opportunity to become permanent within 6-12 months)

Our client is a prominent railway infrastructure company committed to excellence in the rail industry. We are currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operators to join our team. In this crucial role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the best-in-class service by efficiently managing materials availability and assisting with various warehouse tasks, including picking, packing, storage, kitting, and distribution of components.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations:
• Warehouse duties including picking stock accurately and efficiently using either handheld or mobile device to scan, ensuring the warehouse management system accuracy.
• Pick, Pack, Ship, Receive, Put-Away and Kitting of any planned components in line with the defined warehouse management policy.

Quality:
• Following packing procedures and guidelines to meet defined quality standards in line with warehouse management policy. Including the use of packing materials, methods, and techniques that will protect the items during transit and storage.
• Checking and verifying all picked stock and assembled loads prior to dispatch, within the nominated systems.
• Ensuring quality is of the highest standards and all stock is handled with care, so it arrives at our customers/suppliers in perfect condition.

Inventory Control:
• Assisting with inventory control by keeping accurate records of packed items. This plays a crucial role in inventory management and helps maintain accurate stock levels.

Housekeeping:
• Ensuring areas are kept clean and tidy and standards maintained at all times.

Health and Safety:
• Working in a team environment in a safe manner adhering to site Health & Safety regulations and Safe Systems of Work.
• Undertake a range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site.

Experience & Qualifications
• Previous warehouse experience - necessary
• Attention to detail to accurately enable the correct management of stock.
• Have appropriate hand, eye and foot coordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment safely.
• You will be reliable, self-motivated, a strong team player and will have a flexible approach to work.
• Good communication skills to ensure contribution to a seamless warehouse operation.
• FLT Counterbalance, VNA, pallet mover or reach experience – necessary
