WAREHOUSE ADMINISTRATOR/STOCK CONTROLLER

Location: Kettering

Salary: £14.40/hr (equivalent to £30,000/annum)

Shift Pattern: Day shift (Monday-Friday) – 40hrs/week

About Company

Our client is a prominent railway infrastructure company committed to excellence in the rail industry. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Administrator/Stock Controller to join our team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting of all materials received, whether inbound or outbound, and ensuring alignment with specific Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, ensuring all items are properly recorded and tracked.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
  • Manage stock audits and coordinate regular stock checks to maintain accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of materials.
  • Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Ensure the correct storage and handling of stock in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in preparing reports on stock movements, discrepancies, and overall warehouse performance.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing any stock-related queries promptly and effectively.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in warehouse administration or stock control, ideally within the rail or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems and stock control processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and other relevant software (WMS or SAP)
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in warehouse operations.
  • Forklift license (preferred but not essential).
