Senior O&M Engineer

Our client Scottish Power Renewables are currently recruiting for a Senior O&M Engineer to join their team based in London on a contract basis initially. Ideally for this role they are looking for an experienced O&M Engineer with a strong offshore wind background. For further information on this role see below:

Main Purpose of Job
The Senior O&M Engineer role is located within the O&M department of the Offshore Renewables business. The role will be working in the O&M package of the EA HUB project reporting to the Principal Project manager. The O&M package are responsible for taking the project through the pre-FID (Final Investment Decision) and readiness phases to ensure the project is fully prepared for operation.

Key Tasks
• Ensure that project requirements are developed with a strong emphasis on health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Assist the principal project manager in developing the project handover documents including the identification of issues with highest risk for IBD and managing the process.
• Project management of the O&M building, providing the inputs with special focus on the control room requirements
• Developing process and procedures
• Assist in the development and execution of the Operation and Maintenance Strategies for both the Windfarm and the transmission assets.
• Gather lessons learned from other operational projects and implement where appropriate to ensure continuous improvement within offshore operations and maintenance.

• Essential
• Knowledge of Offshore Wind Operations and Maintenance
• Electrical Knowledge..
• Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal, particularly related to multicultural relationship.
• Understanding of H&S legislation applicable to offshore operations and electrical generation. • Basic understanding among the difference of corporate, construction and operations
• Desirable • The job holder as a minimum should be educated to an electrical engineering orientated Bachelors (BSc/BEng) degree level or demonstrate significant experience in a relevant discipline. • Minimum five years offshore wind experience is preferred, alternatively significant experience in a relevant discipline.
