Microwave Engineer

Luton (hybrid working circa 3 days per week on site remainder WFH) – 12 month duration – Pay rate £51.88 p/h PAYE basic (£59.42 including holiday pay) or £70 p/h Umbrella

 

Are you a Microwave Engineer that would like to aid in the delivery of high performance RF hardware that forms part of our self-protection systems installed on fast jet, UAV, land and naval platforms?

Responsibilities:

  • The Microwave Engineer will work with the support of experts in their field, to aid in test, fault diagnostics, propose and implement corrective design changes, qualification, verification, and product life cycle support.
  • The scope of work will involve support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for various products
  • You will be involved in the documents and procedures for the above as well as providing help for the products within Product lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge of design, test (design proving and production) and integration over a wide selection of different RF / Microwave Electronic products.
  • Proven ability in testing RF and Microwave Designs with integrated Digital and High Speed driver controls.
  • Proven ability of proposing and implementing design changes to RF / Microwave products and / or test methods.
  • A wide breadth of experience with the latest test equipment and able to be work independently with limited guidance.
  • Use of RF modelling tools (e.g. ADS, Microwave Office), for example, to investigate unexpected test results.
  • Able to give support to IPT’s, to attend project update meetings and be able to communicate and work within those teams with good interpersonal skills. To produce reports where necessary and work to Leonardo test and design procedures.
  • To support the various IPTs within Leonardo with guidance and direction to identify, mitigate or resolve technical issues within projects.

Additional information:

Due to the nature of our clients work, any candidate must have 5 years UK residency and be capable of achieving full SC security clearance with access to UK Eyes Only and ITAR export control information.

This role shall operate Inside IR35.
