Job Title: Fabricator

We are seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our client in Filton. In this role, you will utilize hand, electrical, pneumatic tools, and bending machines to shape, form, and assemble metal products according to strict drawing limits. The ideal candidate will have experience working with materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and aluminium, and be familiar with quality processes such as ISO 9001 and AS/EN9100.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use jigs to assemble precision parts made from stainless steel, titanium, or aluminium.
• Perform swaging, fitting, and measuring using machinery and jigs.
• Ensure parts are produced with a ‘right first time’ approach and meet high standards of quality.
• Ensure timely clearance of work phases using the SAP system and promptly report any non-conformance to the Process Team Leader.
• Maintain compliance with Quality Procedures and Health & Safety regulations under Section 7 of the HASAWA 1974.
• Hold first-party inspection approval (M02 status subject to obtaining A stamp approval).
• Responsible for maintaining general housekeeping standards within the work area.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• A recognized and relevant apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ qualification.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory environment is desirable.
• Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings and limits.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in small teams with Process Team Leaders.
• Self-motivated and a strong team player.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and techniques to support continuous improvement initiatives (desirable).
