TIG WELDER 

A market leading Aerospace manufacturer based in Burnley are recruiting for skilled TIG Welders. The position is for 6 MONTHS initially but likely to be long-term OR TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT. 

TIG WELDER PAY RATES/SHIFTS – rotated shifts (please enquire as flexibility)

Days 

£18.25 per hour PAYE PLUS £2.65 holiday pay or £24.18 UMBRELLA
Month of DAYS:
7.30 – 4.00pm Mon-Thurs & Friday 7.00- 12.30
OR 4 days Mon-Thurs – 7.00-4.00pm

Nights:

£23.73 per hour PAYE PLUS £3.45 holiday pay or £31.44 UMBRELLA 
9pm -7.00am Mon-Weds & Thurs 9.00pm-6.00am
OR 4 nights - Mon-Thurs – 7.00am – 4.45pm

TIG WELDER Role duties:
• To work as part of the sheet metal components production team working in a controlled welding environment with various Aerospace alloys such as Titanium.
• Ability and willingness to implement LEAN activity & LEAN improvements focused on welding and the setup of welding activities.
• Deliver to commitments Deliver all tasks required by your stakeholders to a high standard on time and in full.
• Deliver high integrity welded parts and components such as Titanium on-time to schedule

TIG WELDER Skills and Requirements (flexible) 
• Demonstrable experience with manual TIG/GTAW welding in an aerospace environment and have successful welder qualifications or a demonstration of previous.
• Experience with manual TIG/GTAW process for Titanium alloys & Nickel alloys
• Excellent concentration and appreciation for welding thin gauge Titanium and its alloys.
• Ability to interpret master layouts and engineering drawings.
• Ability to rigorously follow qualified welding procedures.
• Welding inspection experience desirable but not essential
• Appreciation for causes of defective welds and levels of NDT/NDE.
• Apprentice trained Preferable
• Excellent team player, with capability to support others & use the support of other while taking individual responsibility for their own tasks
• Communicate effectively with immediate colleagues within the team. • Any previous aerospace manufacturing experience would be beneficial but isn’t essential
