Manufacturing Engineer

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineers - Composites Team & Assembly Team
Location: Burnley
Type: Contract until end of 2025
Rates:

  • PAYE: £27.18 per hour + £3.95 per hour holiday pay
  • Umbrella: £35 per hour

We are seeking talented Manufacturing Engineers to join our Aircraft Manufacturing clients’ Composites and Assembly teams. These positions offer an excellent opportunity to work on advanced manufacturing processes in a dynamic and cutting-edge environment.

Key Responsibilities (Composites & Assembly Teams):

  • Define complex manufacturing processes (composite or assembly), ensuring consistency and compliance with product design specifications.
  • Design manufacturing processes that demonstrate the necessary capacity and capability performance to meet/exceed customer demand.
  • Create and validate standard operating procedures, work instruction sheets, quality control points, and inspection methods.
  • Ensure effective plant, equipment, and tooling strategies are in place.
  • Create routes, bills of materials, master layouts, tooling requests, data sheets, and associated drawings.
  • Plan, drive, and coordinate activities contributing to industrial product validation (methods, purchasing, engineering, etc.).
  • Evaluate risks and implement risk reduction actions using tools like PFMEA.

Candidate Skills & Requirements (Composites Team):

  • Experience with complex composite manufacturing processes, ideally in an aerospace context.
  • Engineering degree (including mechanical, manufacturing, or materials engineering), HND, or equivalent experience.
  • A medium/high level of competency with CATIA v5 to work with 3D component information.

Candidate Skills & Requirements (Assembly Team):

  • Experience with complex assembly manufacturing processes, ideally in an aerospace context.
  • Engineering degree (including mechanical, manufacturing, or materials engineering), HND, or equivalent experience.
  • A medium/high level of competency with CATIA v5 to work with 3D component information.
