Manufacturing Engineer - Wing Industrialisation Team

Type: contract until 02/01/2026

PAYE: £27.21ph + holiday pay 

Umbrella: £36ph 

Are you passionate about driving innovation and excellence in industrialisation processes? Our Aircraft manufacturing client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Wing Industrialisation team, where you’ll work alongside diverse internal and external stakeholders to shape the future of airframe manufacturing.

What You’ll Do:
As a key member of the team, you’ll contribute to major modifications and new development projects from inception through to implementation. You’ll play a pivotal role in improving products and processes, co-designing solutions with engineering and design teams, and driving long-term development across multiple programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and influence major modifications for single-aisle and wide-body aircraft through the Co-Design milestone process.
  • Participate in project reviews and workshops to ensure robust modification management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to manage modifications through to aircraft embodiment.
  • Support design reviews, including DSR, IDR, PDR, and CDR stages.
  • Deliver manufacturing engineering tasks to achieve safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people targets.
  • Ensure industrial system designs align with manufacturing engineering (ME) process requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with EHS and quality regulatory standards.
  • Drive lean manufacturing principles to develop efficient processes and support production rate ramp-ups.
  • Contribute to new project idea generation and research & technology initiatives as part of the Industrial Evolution Plan.

What We’re Looking For:
We value individuals with the following skills and experience:

  • Background in product assembly and industrial systems.
  • Undertsanding of fuel systems. 
  • Knowledge of wing airframe systems.
  • Experience working within regulatory constraints and requirements.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with CATIA V5 and SAP (ME Planning & Config fundamentals).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace applications.
