On behalf of a leading aerospace and defence client Morson are recruiting a Project Director with extensive experience of mergers and acquisitions including TSA’s, divestments and partnerships. Most of the work can be carried out remotely but candidates must be prepared to work from various UK locations as and when required. Due to the nature of the candidates must also be ok to work across time zones. The contract can be offered on an OUTSIDE IR35 basis, the day rate is negotiable.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical expertise, guidance and leadership in the end-to-end delivery of large-scale business transformation programs, focusing on divestment, transitional agreements, and change management.
2. Define and manage program governance frameworks, ensuring clear accountability, reporting, and alignment with overall business objectives.
3. Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including the Board and Executive Leadership Team, providing clear communication on program progress, risks, and outcomes.
4. Align cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver against key milestones, maintaining focus on business continuity and minimal disruption.
Essential Criteria:
1. Extensive experience as a Programme Director or Senior Transformation Leader with specific expertise in managing M&A activity.
2. Proven track record delivering complex change initiatives involving divestments.
3. Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing Board-level decision-makers.
4. Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale programs with competing priorities, tight deadlines, and significant budgets.
5. Deep understanding of change management methodologies.
6. Experience in engaging with partners to ensure alignment with program goals and deliverables.
