Morson Talent is recruiting for a Pipe Fitter at our HMNB Clyde site.

The Role:
As a Pipe Fitter, you will have a unique opportunity to join a proactive, engaged team of highly skilled professionals working on cutting-edge equipment and systems. This role offers exceptional development opportunities and specialised training to enhance your skill set.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include carrying out mechanical fitting activities, performing planned and preventative maintenance, and identifying and repairing defects on various systems. You will be part of a team responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, testing and commissioning activities on specialist equipment across the Estates infrastructure.

Working hours will be Monday to Thursday from 8:05am to 4:45pm and Friday from 8:05am to 12:05pm, full-time, onsite at HMNB Clyde. You must also be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

Essential Experience:
Previous experience in Coded Welding or Pipe Fitting in a Marine Engineering or industrial environment is advantageous.
Ability to read and understand drawings, think on your feet, problem-solve, and pay close attention to detail and fault finding.
Experience with maintenance procedures, risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments, and Safe Systems of Work, with excellent teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

Recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship, qualified to SVQ Level 3 (or NVQ and C&G equivalent) or HNC and above in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, with industry experience.
The successful candidate must be able to obtain SC security clearance for this role.
