£29.50 – £39.04 per hour

Morson are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to support an expansive digital transformation project for one of our Aerospace clients based in North Wales. You would be responsible for a key work package within a multifunctional and multinational transformation business area. You will start with the creation of a new product breakdown structure for all product variants to ensure product data is as designed. This will enable the transition to a modern Engineering PLM tool set before the deployment and integration with Manufacturing enterprise resource planning (ERP) and material requirement planning (MRP) systems.

Working as part of the product lifecycle area of the business, each transformation will require end to end project management to time, cost and quality. You will act as a project leader for multi-functional and transnational teams.

The role is being offered on a contract basis until the end of January 2026, due to the transformational nature of the project we expect opportunities to extend beyond this. Hybrid working is being offered, with a minimum expectation of 3 days a week in Filton. Travel will be expected to other UK and European sites, with expenses paid for. The rate being offered for the role is £29.50 per hour PAYE or £39.04 per hour Umbrella inside IR35.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing a specific project during the execution phase.
  • Definitive end to end project management in line with planning and progress by managing key performance indicators.
  • Support engagement with suppliers.
  • Coordination of project teams including Engineering, Process method and Configuration.
  • Preparation of decision gate dossiers.
  • Deliver work package on schedule, with minimal impact to Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • Achievement of project in line with procedural and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Utilise risk management to ensure the implementation strategy.

Requirements

  • Experience of leading project teams, defining plans and ensuring goals are met.
  • Proactive mindset and has the drive to ensure targets are met.
  • Ability to translate sometimes complex digital transformations into a simple plan.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to influence others.
  • Proficiency in Google workspace.
  • The ability to negotiate in English with internal and external stakeholders.

Desired Skills

  • An engineering or manufacturing background.
  • Educated to bachelor’s degree level, though equivalent vocational qualifications or experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of PLM and ERP tool sets such as SAP, etc.
  • Experience of delivering digital projects within Manufacturing, Engineering or Quality control environments.
  • European languages.

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be BPSS cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
