Morson are recruting an MSP Scheduler to support our Huddersfield based client on an initial 6 month contract. Candidates will ideally live locally and be able to work a minimum of 3 days/week on site.
The Scheduler will collaborate with Programme Managers and business functions to plan, develop and manage the schedules for long duration, complex Projects.
Core Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Planning: Consult with Programme Managers and internal departments to understand the structure, sequence and relationships of project and programme schedules.
Schedule Development: Develop schedules that accurately reflect the sequence of activities, durations, resources and critical paths to deliver projects and programmes.
Schedule Baseline Management: Control configuration of Project Baseline Schedules.
Schedule Maintenance: Collaborate with internal departments to maintain the schedules: update progress, record actual durations and adjust sequencing as required.
Assessment: Evaluate schedule performance, to identify deviations, conflicts and potential delays.
Reporting: Report schedule performance to Project and Programme Managers, along with potential corrective actions.
Schedule Integration: Manage the integration of schedules for linked projects and programmes.
Issue identification: Identify issues including conflicts, constraints and invalid assumptions.
Functional Knowledge
Proven work experience as a Project Scheduler on complex projects
Certification as a scheduling professional would be advantageous (PMI-SP for example)
Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment would be highly beneficial
Proficiency in project scheduling software, MS Project, is essential
Experience working with SAP – or a similar ERP – would be highly beneficial
