Project Manager
£47 - £60 per hour PAYE
Morson are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to be based with one of our Defence clients in Huddersfield. We’re looking for a manager with extensive knowledge of Project Management within the Defence sector. You would manage a single team running a medium-sized project or a work package within the defence supply chain.
The role is being offered on a 6-month contract, based in Huddersfield within an expectation of 4 days a week onsite. We can pay a rate of £47 - £60 per hour PAYE inside IR35.
Responsibilities
- Manager a small team to budget and performance.
- Ensures essential Project Management procedures are followed.
- Develop own project and wider plans, including business, production, operational and/or organisational priorities.
- Exercise performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, termination and other personnel actions.
- Accountable as a member of the Project Management team for development and implementation of appropriately tailored practices.
Requirements
- Experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Project Management in the defence sector
- Exposure to Commercial & Finance elements of projects.
- Able to resolve & guide others in solving complex project-related issues.
- An experienced Project Management practitioner across differing techniques.
- Strong communication and diplomacy skills to be able to persuade and influence internal & external stakeholders.
- Able to make decisions and problem-solve using policies, procedures and business plans.
- University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry.
- Professional PM Qualification or years of practical experience gained through application of Project Management.
- Ideally an LCM Assessor or Chairperson.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
