HR Assistant

HR Assistant; Portsmouth; 12-month contract; £15.12ph paye; 37 hours per week; Inside IR35
We have a great opportunity for a HR Assistant to work with one of our defence clients based in Portsmouth.
Role Overview
You will support the UK HR team in their day-to-day activities, working closely with HR Management, Business Partners (HRBPs), HR Experts, as well as senior management and social partner colleagues both within the UK and transnationally.
Responsibilities
HR Assistant to the UK Head of HR and Divisional Head of Social Policy and Industrial
Relations, supporting with meeting organisation, diary management, communications,
meeting notes and general administration activities.

Provide HR administrative, operational and project support to the wider UK HR team,
including (but not limited to) support to the onboarding, induction, exit and overseas
deployment processes.

Day to day time and attendance & payroll support activities.
Support to Disciplinary & Grievance processes as required.
Support with organising visitors to the site, room bookings and meeting coordination.
Assisting in creating and running HR events & processes.
Ad hoc data management, e.g. file archiving, data provision & analysis i.e. audits, surveys,
headcount reports, absence reports.
Minute and note taking for a variety of HR meetings.
Skill Set
Essential
This role would provide an ideal opportunity for the successful applicant to progress their career in HR and provide scope for significant personal development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent computer literacy skills.
A high level of discretion and diplomacy will be critical due to the nature of the activities the role
will encompass.
The candidate will also have the ability to organise their own workload with high attention to
detail, self-motivation and be able to interface with people at all levels.
Desirable
Knowledge of Google Workspace, including Gmail, G-documents, G-sheets and G-slides. Knowledge of Workday.
