Engineering Project Manager
£45 per hour
Morson are currently working with a Defence client who have multiple vacancies for Engineering Project Managers. If you have managed engineering development projects or the detailed design of electronic products then this could be a great step into an innovative industry. You would be joining a growing team and organisation, with a lot of collaboration and interdependency.
The roles are based in Stevenage, with hybrid working available but a minimum expectation of 2 days a week on site. They are being offered on an initial 12-month basis, but due to demand this will likely be extended. We can pay a rate of up to £45 per hour umbrella inside IR35.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver the most complex and priority projects to time, cost and quality
- Drive the design, development and delivery of highly complex electronic sub-systems, from concept through into full production.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement necessary mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present regular status reports to management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Skillset/experience required:
- Experience of full lifecycle Project Management: Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Compliance Management, Configuration Management and Earned Value Management.
- Strong experience of delivering significant projects on time and to budget.
- Experience of project management across the various phases; from project conception and initiation through manufacture and qualification to customer delivery.
- A background in engineering development, ideally of complex systems or electronic units.
- Individuals with excellent communication skills; able to influence stakeholders.
- Organised and able to manage concurrent workflows.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
