Digital Process Engineer - Materials

Location: North East England, Northumberland, Warton

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Aerospace and Aviation

Job Duties:

  • Design and develop digital processes for materials used in aerospace and aviation
  • Implement data-driven solutions to optimise material performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate digital processes into material testing and production
  • Perform analysis and testing on materials to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to digital processes in materials

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in digital process engineering within the aerospace industry
  • Strong understanding of material properties and behaviour
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or related field

Experience:

Previous experience in digital process engineering within the aerospace industry

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of material properties and behaviour
  • Experience with data-driven solutions for material optimisation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Certification in digital process engineering
  • Experience with industry-specific software for material testing and analysis

Working Conditions:

This role is based in North East England, with occasional travel to different sites for collaboration and testing. The work environment involves a combination of office work and lab testing.
