Job Title: Field Technician
We are seeking an enthusiastic and physically fit individual to join our team as a Field Technician. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining assets, with a strong emphasis on ground and civil works. Prior experience with 360 excavators or 360 tickets is crucial to excel in this position. Candidates must own a car, hold a valid driver’s license, and possess a strong willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections, repairs, and maintenance of assets, adhering to high-quality standards.
- Operate 360 excavators and dumpers safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while following health and safety, financial, and contractual guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with scheduling teams and management to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Provide daily feedback to assist in minimizing environmental compliance issues.
- Manage workload effectively to maintain flexibility across a variety of tasks.
- Perform tasks such as meter installations, tank cleaning, pipework modifications, and general site maintenance.
- Overtime work available.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Essential: Proven experience operating 360 excavators or possession of 360 tickets.
- Physically fit, with a car and valid driver’s license.
- Background in civil works, plumbing, or similar fields is highly desirable.
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills in asset maintenance, especially in ground and civil works.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to organize and adapt to changing work arrangements efficiently.
- Willingness to travel across the Nottingham area and stay overnight if required.
Qualifications:
- Experience in O&M activities or work with water/sewage assets is an advantage.
- Skilled in safely using tools and equipment, particularly 360 excavators and dumpers.
- Basic understanding of risk assessments.
