Anderselite are actively seeking a Senior/ Experienced Architect to join a busy Cardiff Studio. The right individual will have the opportunity to lead and work on multiple projects as part of a growing Education team.
About you -
You should demonstrate ambition and enthusiasm for success, along with a readiness to serve as an ambassador for the business. The role entails supporting our Education sector lead directly by overseeing project delivery from through all RIBA Stages, requiring a strong technical aptitude and the ability to adapt to challenging situations on multiple projects at any one time.
The Role -
You’ll be involved in a variety of projects across the Education sector, collaborating closely with a diverse team. Your responsibilities will include:
• Collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve optimal outcomes for both the business and clients.
• Engaging in project reviews and coordination workshops.
• Preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documents using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Conducting site visits and surveys on projects across the UK to gather necessary information for project development.
• Ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and zoning laws throughout the design process.
• Coordinating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals involved in project execution.
• Providing technical support and guidance to junior staff members as needed.
• Staying up to date on industry trends, advancements, and best practices to continually enhance design processes and outcomes.
• Contributing to and assisting in the development of technical expertise.
Requirements:
• Qualified Architect.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as an Architect in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction techniques, and building systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and precision.
• Proven track record of managing and successfully delivering projects to completion.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices.
• Access to and use of a car.
