Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Water Resource Modeller to join our dynamic team, with locations across the UK, including Birmingham, Redditch, High Wycombe, Reading, and Shrewsbury. This position offers a salary range of £50,000 - £60,000. You will play a central role in delivering our workload and achieving our ambitious growth targets in the water resources planning market. With significant investment in infrastructure and nature-based solutions, this is an exciting time to be involved in water resources in the UK.
As a senior member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of projects, from inception to handover, ensuring they adhere to scope, budget, timescale, quality, and regulatory requirements. You will lead by example, advising and reviewing the work of less senior team members. Your expertise in hydraulic, water resource, or optimisation modelling will be crucial. You will support the wider water resources team and work flexibly on a variety of projects, leveraging your networks to achieve positive outcomes.
Skills:
- Extensive experience in water resources projects (WR modelling, supply-demand balance, abstraction impact assessments, etc.)
- Proficiency in modelling software such as Pywr, Miser, and Aquator
- Strong understanding of UK Water Resource Management regulatory requirements
- Project management experience, including team management and handling challenging projects
- Excellent client relationship skills and proposal writing
- Strong analytical skills for water resources and hydrological data
- Degree in geography, geological sciences, environmental science, civil or environmental engineering
- Professional chartership with institutions such as CIWEM or the Institute of Water
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with WRMPs, regional plans, SROs, or Drought Plans

Certifications & Standards:
- Chartered Membership with CIWEM or Institute of Water (or working towards)
