Due to the urgent nature of the role candidates must have current and transferrable SC Security Clearance.

Purpose of the position
The position will form part of the group central I.T. services but will operate locally at Kirkbymoorside. It will provide local support and advice to the business unit in regard to general I.T service provision on site on behalf of IT central services.

Accountability
The position, together with the Central IT team, is responsible for ensuring that the business unit has the appropriate IT infrastructure and access to key data to enable it to meet business requirements in the most effective and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:
- Provide IT “at elbow” support to users at Advanced Composites
- Implement and ensure standards and processes are in line with Central IT policies
- Participate in and deliver activities for IT projects
- Coordinate and manage on site vendor visits
- Support Business Engagement activities with the IT Central team

Tasks:
- Troubleshooting and support of Windows 10-11, Microsoft Active Directory, MS Office 365 / Teams.
- Software installations of authorised desktop applications.
- Perform general preventative maintenance, upgrades and compliance tasks on computers, laptops, smart phones.
- Provide first/second level contact and problem resolution for our users issues.
- Excellent communication relationship-building and internal customer service skills
- Work with Third Party Vendors to remediate issues as needed.
- Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents.
- Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution.
- Liaising with the IT staff at Head Office and performing other IT related tasks

- Microsoft Office suite applications
- Scripting methodologies
- Basic understanding of Networking – patching & troubleshooting
- Bar Coding/SFDC technologies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
- Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Self-starter
