TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY - WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE - PLEASE ONLY APPLY SHOULD YOU HAVE A DRIVING LICENSE 

Morson are currently seeking to recruit a Warehouse Operative (Parts assistant) for a leading fleet organisation based in Lostock, Bolton. Greater Manchester. Please note this is a contract role but there are opportunities for temporary to permanent. 

MUST HOLD FULL UK DRIVING LICENSE AS REQUIREMENT TO DRIVE A LIGHTS GOOD VEHICLE ON SITE AS AND WHEN REQUIRED.

The successful candidate will ensure the day-to-day activities of the Parts Department Operation are completed to the required standard ensuring all Internal Customers and engineers are fully catered for in respect of service parts requirements.

Pay rate: £11.44 an hour + £1.78 holiday pay per hour 

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8 hour days

Contract duration - 6 months+ / Likely to be long-term

Warehouse Operative Job Description

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

To ensure all parts deliveries inbound/outbound are actioned in a timely and accurate manner.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To manage deliveries both inbound and outbound of the depot accurately and efficiently to company guidelines. General duties within the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
To carry out daily perpetual checks.
Ensure all goods in and out tasks are carried out in a timely manner.
Ensure where applicable stock is labelled/barcoded and part stock locations are live.
Pick and pack all NPAC orders, including internal van and depot replenishments & external OTC customer sales to a high standard.
Maintain both depot and van stock to a predetermined level.
Process any internal and external returns.
Assist with the return of warranty items.
Monitor and control the levels of required packaging materials.
Carry out Franchise stock checks and assist with annual stock checks.
Maintain a safe and tidy work area carrying out general housekeeping tasks in accordance with Healthy and Safety.

Experience:

Essential - Previous experience in a similar role
Enthusiasm and ability to learn and progress within the company

Desirable – Forklift experience (training provided)
Experience of using Excel

Previous experience within a similar industry

Knowledge and Skills:

Desirable knowledge within the Transport Refrigeration/Tail Lift industry (NOT ESSENTIAL) 

Ability to work as part of a team and on your own

Attention to detail

Must be flexible and self-motivated

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to meet deadlines
