Morson is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Process Engineer for our Aircraft Manufacturing client in Broughton. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a leading manufacturing engineering function, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to drive the industrialization of designs into production.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Engineering Process Engineer, you will:
- Translate design intent into comprehensive technical instructions and manufacturing data for use in aircraft detail manufacture, assembly, test, and certification.
- Implement best practice methods, tools, and processes to meet evolving business needs.
- Develop detailed work preparation definitions, including routings, BOMs, SOIs, and STV calculations for aircraft production.
- Ensure compliance with departmental procedures and regulatory requirements across all work and documentation.
- Project manage enhancements to manufacturing methods, tools, and processes, including implementation strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Evaluate and optimize manufacturing process capacity, recommending design changes where needed.
- Provide essential electrical/mechanical shop floor support to operations, supply chain, and final assembly lines.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong knowledge of lean principles and manufacturing best practices.
- Experience with business management tools:
- Desirable: SAP, DPDS/PASS, PDM Link, MTM TiCon systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft or Google office tools.
(Training can be provided for suitable candidates.)
- Technical skills and knowledge to make effective business decisions in manufacturing disciplines.
- Ideally, 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft production and engineering methods is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership skills and a self-motivated mindset are desirable qualities.
