PRODUCTION OPERATIVES (Rochdale)

Morson are exclusively recruiting for several Production Operative opportunities for a leading digital identity and security provider. These roles are on earlies and late shift rotated weekly

Whilst the Production Operatives are initially on a 6-month contract although likely to be more long-term.  These positions are based in Kingsway industrial estate, Rochdale. 

Double days (alternated weekly)

6am-2pm Monday-Friday 

2pm-10pm Monday Friday 

 £14.48 plus £1.75 holiday pay , increasing to £2.53 holiday pay after 12 weeks

Experience required for the role is flexible, will consider those without manufacturing/production operative experience is desirable although those from other backgrounds with transferable skills wiill be considered.
Those from Printing backgrounds would be highly suitable, although not essential.

Production Operative ROLE PROFILE

As a team member you’ll operate each of the processes within the full work stream. This will include the operating of a BookMaster One personalisation machine, Quality inspection, Bowe Insertion machine, Vault operations and goods receiving and shipping. You’ll complete daily/ weekly maintenance tasks and work with your peers on 5S and problem solving activities.
A week in the life of a team member:
• You’ll complete daily maintenance and cleaning of the machines and surrounding areas.
• You’ll work within the 5S rules and guidelines.
• You’ll operate the machines and/ or processes and rigorously follow the standard work for each of these tasks.
• You’ll run process to production targets and quality standards.
• You’ll complete hourly figures and highlight issues that have occurred to the management team.
• You’ll participate with your peers and management on problem solving projects and improvements.
• You’ll work to good health and safety standards and laws and not put yourself or others at risk.
• You’ll work within all of the applicable security rules and report any breaches
• You’ll need to be flexible on a daily basis to deal with any tasks required, and will be required to travel to our other personalisation centre in the North West.
