Morson are recruiting Mechanical Fitters on behalf of our prestigious defence client, for a 12-month initial contract, on site in Govan. Salary:
Local contractors
Standard: PAYE: £19.40, UMBRELLA: £25.22
Nightshift: PAYE: £25.80, UMBRELLA: £33.36

Travelling contractors
Standard: PAYE: £27.40, UMBRELLA: £35.62
Nightshift: PAYE: £33.80, UMBRELLA: £43.76

Job Description:
• Machinery and Plant installation
• Levelling and Laser alignment of mechanical equipment
• Torque of Equipment- Tightening to a certain degree
• Working to tight tolerance with equipment
• Dimensional controls equipment e.g laser measuring devices
• Drilling and tapping of holes
• Marking off
• Jig Fabrication
• Working with Hydraulics

Your Skills and requirements:
- Trade papers, e.g. Formal Modern apprenticeship.
- Shaft line experience
- Clear understanding of SHE Risks Awareness
- Understanding of manufacturing processes
- Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height
- Safety certification i.e. SHE Induction, COSHH Awareness, working at height etc
- Mechanical Background and Experience within Mechanical Fitter
